Halsey's iconic album 'Badlands,' which led to her rise as an artist, just hit 10 years since its release, and here's how she is celebrating it.

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, better known by her stage name Halsey, is celebrating 10 years of her triple platinum full-length debut album, Badlands. The anniversary coincides with the wrap of her For My Last Trick Tour, her best-selling tour to date.

For the 10th anniversary of the album, she expressed, “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. So much has happened in the last decade, but Badlands remains the most exciting musical journey of my life. I have so many unbelievable things planned for this month to celebrate the album that changed my life and introduced me to the fans I’ll love forever. This is just the beginning.”

To celebrate this milestone, the album, which will officially be 10 on August 28, 2015, she is releasing a very special new Badlands Decade Edition, Badlands: Live From Webster Hall, and Badlands: Anthology vinyl, which will be out August 29th through UMe/Astralwerks/Capitol Records.

Badlands: Anthology will be a triple-disc vinyl with the addition of orchestral versions, never-before-heard demos, official remixes, and rarities, celebrating and portraying Halsey's origin story in the process. Badlands: Live From Webster Hall will be presented as a two-LP coloured vinyl pressing of Halsey’s 2019 performance. The LP marks the first physical release of the performance.

The album marked the beginning of the pop star's career and made her a prominent part of pop music history. In the decade since its release, Badlands has sold over three million albums in the US and has over nine billion on-demand streams worldwide. Besides, it is one of the only albums in music history to have every song certified gold, platinum, or multi-platinum by the RIAA.

The Bad at Love singer's latest tour supported her fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator, which came out in 2024. Ashley was supported by Evanescence, Alvvays, Alameda, Del Water Gap, and Magdalena Bay on the tour, which kicked off in Concord, Massachusetts, on May 10 and will conclude on the anniversary of her album in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 28th.

In 2025, in an interview at Firefly, she described Badlands as a "little bit more industrial, a bit more raw" compared to her EP Room 93, which "was a midpoint and I could’ve gone one way or the other."

She further added, " Badlands dives into the science of sound; throughout the production, mixing, and mastering process, we attempted to create space with sound, so as if when you close your eyes you can actually feel the parameters of the room around you. For me, it was about creating a universe and making it so that people felt like they were actually being transported somewhere."

Her debut album gave us hits such as New Americana, Colors, Gasoline, Control, and many more.
