Benson Boone has reportedly split from his girlfriend, Maggie Thurmon, after two years of dating, according to TMZ. The couple, who were first spotted together in March 2024, have now gone their separate ways.

According to People Magazine, Benson Boone, who was performing in Nashville earlier this week, could be seen giving an emotional speech during his ongoing tour. Although at that time it was not confirmed that the couple had split, the "Beautiful Things" singer's speech about how "sometimes people leave your life," led fans to speculate about his possible split from Thurmon.

Benson Boone and social media creator Maggie Thurmon made their first public appearance in March 2024 while attending the Elton John Aids Foundation's Academy Awards afterparty. They were later spotted at the MTV Music Awards in September 2024. The couple made several red carpet appearances together in the past year and were also seen attending the Saturday Night Live afterparty earlier this year in May.

According to reports, the couple had been dating since the year prior, though not much is known about how they first met.

Benson Boone, who is on his American Heart Tour, which began last month and will continue until November, appeared emotional as he gave the speech during this performance. According to People Magazine, Boone remarked, just before performing, "In The Stars," on September 9, saying:

"Sometimes people leave your life. Whether it's the right thing or the wrong thing. And it is always hard — always, every single time. And it sucks. And it sucks to sit in it, and it sucks to be sad about it, and it sucks to feel that so hard sometimes. But it's okay, it's life. It happens. And as terrible as it is, there's always something or someone who can pull you out of it. I usually say writing this song helps me a lot, but singing this song tonight is going to help me a lot."

He further added:

"I hope you enjoy this song tonight because tonight this song means something very special, and I hope you take home something from this night. And if it is this song, if it is any song, let it be the next three and a half minutes because I promise this means everything to me."

The couple, who often posted about their relationship on their social media, have since unfollowed each other on Instagram. At the moment, neither Benson Boone nor Maggie Thurmon has released an official statement about their split.
