Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has quietly dropped a digital treasure chest of unreleased music — 17 songs in total — through an exclusive vault on her Good Dye Young website.
Accessed through an exclusive email code, listeners were greeted with a surprise collection of tracks like “True Believer,” “Mirtazapine,” “Hard,” “Negative Self Talk,” “Discovery Channel,” and “Zissou."
On the stripped-down page, a folder labeled “Misc” leads to even more gems: a live performance from 2017 in Phoenix, a handwritten lyric book, and a cheeky t-shirt reading:
“Hayley Williams is my favorite band.”
But it's not just the music. The visual layout also drips Y2K nostalgia, complete with clickable folders, retro-style fonts, and a classic MP3 player interface.
While it’s unclear whether these tracks are part of a future album or simply archival treasures, fans have quickly embraced the sudden drop.
It follows Hayley Williams’ recent collaboration with Moses Sumney on “I Like It I Like It,” and adds to her expanding solo oeuvre that includes Petals for Armor (2020) and Flowers for Vases / Descansos (2021).
“No promo, no warning, just pain and poetry”: Fans sound off online as Hayley Williams unleashes surprise 17 tracks
Social media quickly lit up with reactions as soon as Hayley Williams unleashed 17 songs made it out of the vault.
A fan gushed on X (formerly Twitter):
“Hayley just dropped 17 songs outta nowhere?? no promo, no warning, just pain and poetry is this real or am I dreaming in Paramore lyrics again”
Another one wrote:
“Seventeen. New. Songs. Hayley Williams really said ‘here, feast.’”
An online user said:
“right when cct ended she knew we needed a pick me up thank u mother”
Another fan tweeted:
“i love this new trend where they're releasing music on their sites”
One also quote-retweeted:
“I think it's a nostalgic and really good idea, because we grew up with the MP3 format — that’s how we used to listen to music — and despite the industry’s lack of awareness, it feels like she’s trying to bring things back to how they used to be <3”
An internet user then stated:
“That’s not a surprise drop, that’s an emotional ambush. Fans sentenced to a weekend of crying in high fidelity.”
Meanwhile, one fan gave a spoiler on the tracks:
“idk how to feel about these lyrics they’re too f***ing sad”
The digital breadcrumb trail arrives just after Paramore celebrated a milestone: the band’s 20th anniversary.
The celebration came with a reissue of their debut album All We Know Is Falling, a deluxe digital edition that features four new additional tracks — “O Star,” “This Circle,” “Stuck on You,” and an earlier version of “Emergency.”
Coming off their exit from longtime label Atlantic Records last December, Paramore is currently navigating life as an independent band. At the time of their departure, the band teased:
“We’ve already got new music in the works.”
