Here's everything EXO's Kai has been up to lately:
EXO's Kai dropped his highly anticipated solo mini album, “Wait On Me," just earlier this year. Per Soompi, in April, he spoke to reporters at a press conference to celebrate his return to the industry, with fellow EXO bandmember Suho by his side. The latter served as an MC at the event and spoke with the singer about his fourth album.
At the time, the singer expressed nervousness and excitement to be making a comeback. Reflecting on his track “Walls Don’t Talk,” and its accompanying music video, he said:
“I hope that fans can feel like they are on a date with me while watching the video."
As for the music video of its title track, the singer said:
“There is a part I enjoyed filming where the dancers and I dance while walking down a long hallway."
Suho also gushed over his bandmate's performance in the music video, noting,
“It was a great performance—Kai didn’t disappoint.”
He also jokingly asked the singer about his apparent lack of clothing in the video, to which he quipped,
“With the desert backdrop, [we thought that] if I’m also wearing a lot of clothes, it would feel too hot for the audience, so there was the opinion that I show some skin.”
The singer kicked off his first world tour in support of his fourth mini album this past May, with his first stop being at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. His two performances there reportedly drew in a staggering 9,000 fans combined, and it marked his first solo shows since he debuted with EXO 13 years ago.
According to the Korea Herald, it also marked his first appearance since he was discharged from his mandatory military service in February this year, which he reportedly completed through social service.
