“Hostile and confrontational”: Offset reportedly sued for allegedly striking dispensary guard in the face

Offset's chill trip to a California dispensary reportedly went up in smoke, literally, after a security guard accused the rapper of attacking him during a heated exchange.

In a report obtained by TMZ, the security guard, Jim Sanchez, is suing Offset for assault, battery, and intentional affliction of emotional distress.

In the lawsuit, the security guard claims that he asked the rapper to show identification, which ruffled Offset. The security guard adds that the rapper "became hostile, verbally confrontational, and physically attacked Plaintiff by striking him in the face."

Sanchez goes on to recount that Offset's several companions also entered the fray to "further assault and batter" him. He claims that the incident caused him to suffer from severe headaches and neck pain, which ultimately prompted the paramedics to bring him to the hospital.

Recalling, Offset went on a trip to California last March, reportedly to enjoy weed with his pals. Multiple sources reported to TMZ that the rapper and his companions dropped by MedMen LAX at around 9:30 p.m.

The outlet narrated that Offset encountered a conflict allegedly due to a lack of ID, forbidding him from purchasing the plant-based drug.

However, his representatives said that the no ID claim was "ridiculous" given that he had just gotten off the plane at the time—which, of course, needed identification. They continued, claiming that Sanchez began “aggressively rushing" the rapper and “hawking spit in his face,” which resulted in a physical altercation.

Offset reportedly punched first, while the security guard sprayed mace at the rapper and everyone else as retaliation.

Authorities and paramedics were called, but the "Bad and Boujee" rapper was reportedly gone by the time they arrived at the scene. Jim Sanchez was then taken to the local hospital for treatment, although the extent of his injuries was unknown.

Offset denied involvement in 2023 convention fight: "I'm in a positive space"

Meanwhile, the March scuffle came months after the "Annihilate" star's involvement in another heated dispute.

In November 2024, the rapper got into a violent clash with French rapper Gazo in Paris. The incident was recorded, and the clip circulated on the web, showing the two artists and several other people exchanging blows.

In 2023, Offset was also involved in a high-profile scuffle at ComplexCon, where a man accused the rapper of assault, battery, and emotional distress.

At the time, a security guard named Clark alleged that Offset's associate, YRN Murk, spat on him after he was denied entry to the venue, which resulted in a physical altercation. Clark also accused Offset of striking him when the chaos escalated.

However, the rapper denied his involvement and instead said that he tried to break up a fight.

“I wasn’t fighting at ComplexCon. I stepped in to break up a fight caused by a booth’s security. The story is false and overshadows why I’m a regular at ComplexCon. I was there to support the culture and emerging brands and designers. I’m focused on that. I’m in a positive space. Appreciate the concern."
