Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene are more than a month away from celebrating their first wedding anniversary!

The Summertime Sadness singer, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, took to Instagram ahead of the festivities to look back on a sweet moment from their intimate September 2024 nuptials. She shared a photo of herself and her husband on the altar, and the caption read:

"May 12 angels guard you while you preach tonight."

In the photo, the songstress can be seen clad in a minimalistic ivory gown with oversized ruffled shoulders. She had a big blue bow in her hair as she held hands with Dufrene, a 49-year-old alligator tour guide. Their minister stood before them, clutching what was seemingly a Bible.

Cosmopolitan has reported that Lana Del Rey met her now-husband back in March 2019. At the time, she was in Louisiana when she decided to go on a swamp tour with her friends. Dufrene was the captain for the day. It is unclear when they became friends, though in May 2024, she shared a photo of herself, him, and another friend, and referred to Dufrene as "my guy" in the caption.

However, at the time, the comment was brushed off, and no one thought anything of it. By August, the pair were seen holding hands at the Reading & Leeds Festival in England, and later that month, Pop Crave confirmed that the two were dating.

Everything we know about Lana Del Rey's surprise wedding

As reported by the Daily Mail, Lana Del Rey's latest snapshot comes on the heels of a rare post of herself, taking in her new Southern atmosphere. In a string of photos she shared on Instagram earlier this month, she can be seen relaxing and canoodling with her husband as they spent time by the bayou.

The pair tied the knot last year by the swamp in Des Allemands, Louisiana, which is also where Dufrene, a local father of three, works. The news came about a month after Lana Del Rey confirmed her romance with him.

At the time, the outlet shared exclusive photos of the songstress walking down the aisle with her father, Robert Grant, by her side, clad in a white dress and a floral bouquet in hand. They then reportedly had an outdoor reception, with one of Dufrene's famous swamp airboats being decorated with white flowers for the occasion.

A source told People Magazine at the time that the couple held their nuptials at a place that was meaningful to them. An insider said:

"The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours."
"This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story.”

The insider also noted that Lana Del Rey and Dufrene "initially met a few years ago the first time and then reconnected earlier this year," and added:

"It’s been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy. He’s charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She’s an old soul."
