Taylor Swift recently appeared on the "New Heights" podcast hosted by Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce. In the podcast, the Grammy Winning singer talked about everything from her upcoming album to previously unknown details abaout her relationship with Travis Kelce.

According to People Magazine, Travis Kelce had initially planned to meet Taylor Swift at her concert in Texas, but when that plan failed, he opened about his interest in her on his podcast over two years ago. This moment would eventually lead to the two of them meeting. Talking about the moment, Taylor Swift said:

"This dude didn't get a meet and greet and he's making it everyone's problem, that’s what I thought at first."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were initially linked together in 2023 after the "Cardigan" singer was seen attending several games played by the Kansas City Chiefs player. The couple seemingly confirmed their relationship later that year when they were spotted together at the Saturday Night Live afterparty. Since then, they have made multiple appearances together, with Travis Kelce talking about his relationship with Taylor Swift during his recent interview with GQ Magazine. He said:

"Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process. When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It just kind of took the f*ck off."

More about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance, as the singer divulges unknown details about their relationship

Taylor Swift, who is known for rarely giving any interviews, made an appearance on the "New Heights" podcast. In the much anticipated episode, which was released on August 13, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce gushed about how their relationship developed in the first place. Travis Kelce, who had planned to give Taylor a friendship bracelet, with his number on it, failed miserably in doing so. Talking about the moment, he said:

“I was butt hurt.Yeah … And I got denied. The elevator was suspended.”

Taylor Swift added that the fact that he later publicly declared that he liked her was a wild, romantic gesture for her. She said:

“It was such a wild, romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I wanna date you."

She further added how he had not properly planned on how he would meet Taylor Swift when she was performing at the Arrowhead Stadium in Texas. She said:

"You realize he didn't even reach out to our management. I was like, when this podcast came out, I was like, ‘Did he ever reach out to be, like, in the tents, or did we know he was in the building?’ He came with Pat [Patrick Mahomes], and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room.”

Travis Kelce, further added:

“That's what it does when you're on the stage and you perform in Arrowhead. That's what it did to me. You come to Arrowhead, I get to meet you. That's the perk of playing for the Chiefs.”

Taylor further added that she had been writing songs about people making such grand gestures, so in the end, that was what convinced her to give Travis Kelce a chance. She said:

"I felt more like I was in an '80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, 'I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me? I was like, 'If this guy's not crazy, this is sort of what I've been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager."

In the podcast, Taylor Swift also revealed more details about her highly anticipated album, "The Life of a Showgirl," which is set to release on October 3. The album will contain twelve tracks, including one single featuring a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
