Taylor Swift has recently reclaimed the music rights of her first six albums. Amid the euphoria that has gripped the fans' timelines over Taylor Swift's recent announcement, Travis Kelce has also shown his support for Swift by liking the latest post she posted on her socials. The subtle move was noticed by eagle-eyed fans online, and the meaningful gesture has reinforced the fans' devotion to the power couple.
Although Travis Kelce has been going through a lean patch on the pitch, sources from Marca claim that the star tight end has been steadfast in his support for Taylor Swift to take back the music rights for her albums. When it comes to public displays of support, Travis Kelce has always been Swift's biggest cheerleader and has often been spotted attending her concerts and cheering her on by dancing in the VIP section.
Taylor Swift's statement after reclaiming the music rights
After dealing with the process for a long time, Taylor Swift has acquired the rights to six albums from her early days: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. When news came out of Swift resolving her problems with Scooter Braun and Shamrock Capital, the fans on social media celebrated the news.
She shared the news with enthusiastic fans on social media through a passionate letter, which was posted on her website. While expressing her gratitude to the fans, Swift wrote:
"To my fans, you know how important this has been to me — so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released 4 of my albums, calling them Taylor's Version. The passionate support you showed those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music. I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now."
She also made sure to thank Shamrock Capital, the company that was in possession of the rights after Scooter Braun sold it to them in 2020:
"All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to purchase my music outright with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy. I will be forever grateful to everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me. The way they've handled every interaction we've had has been honest, fair, and respectful. This was a business deal to them, but I really felt like they saw it for what it was to me: My memories and my sweat and my handwriting and my decades of dreams."
While making the announcement on social media, Taylor Swift also made sure to acknowledge the efforts of all the people who helped her in her journey, and gave fans a glimpse into the release date for Reputation (Taylor's Version). While fans only got to see a digital thumbs-up, we can only imagine the celebrations and victory dances that would be happening behind closed doors right now.
Travis Kelce’s public acknowledgment on social media also signals his pride and happiness for Swift’s accomplishment, reflecting the mutual encouragement that has characterized their relationship. Through all the hard times, the power couple has firmly stood by each other like a rock, which goes on to further endear them to the fans.
After a not-so-stellar last season, Travis Kelce will be looking to right the wrongs of last season in the upcoming NFL season. On the other hand, Swift will be seen in The Eras Tour Documentary, which is scheduled to drop later this year.
