Jason Derulo is proving that there is no stage too big (or too public) when it comes to connecting with his fans.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, the "Talk Dirty" hitmaker checked in with TMZ at his Hollywood dance studio to talk about fan connection and live streaming, as well as all things Instagram Live and TikTok. When asked if he also plans to launch a Twitch account, he explained:
"Truthfully, the majority of my viewers are on Instagram and on TikTok. We have streamers here as well, but I'm going to stream from my platforms that I know I'm going to have people on."
The singer also weighed in on how the world keeps on evolving, and that people have to keep up with the times.
"The world is always — it's always changing, and I just want to be where the people are."
With ten backup dancers in tow and several staffers to maintain the crowd, Jason Derulo took over Hollywood Boulevard with his killer dance moves. The TMZ footage also shows onlookers taking a video of the surprise performance while the singer-songwriter's new track "Who Hurt You" plays.
In his chat with the outlet, Jason Derulo brought up his new release and his plan before launching into his impromptu set, revealing:
"My music video actually came out yesterday, but this is a flash mob video that we're doing today. So, basically, we're going to be incog ... come in, and then we're just going to surprise everybody with a performance."
Released on Oct. 3, Jason Derulo's "Who Hurt You" was helmed by Jeremy Strong and produced by Noah Roberto. In the music video, the pop star sported a red suit with a black collar, but the standout is the smeared eyeliner on his face.
