DDG or Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. dropped his fifth studio album, Blame the Chat, on May 2, 2025. His latest album features 15 tracks, including collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, BIA, DaBaby, and Offset.
Fans have been anticipating the release of the album due to its interactive creation process. Granberry, who had earlier gained recognition as a YouTuber and Twitch streamer, involved his livestream audience in the development of Blame the Chat. Twitch users participated in picking the beats, song titles, and ad-libs, and gave feedback, giving DDG ideas on tweaking the tracks on the spot.
After the album release went viral on the internet, fans and social media users took to the comment section of The Neighborhood Talk's Instagram post to express their opinion. While some users appreciated his music, others commented on the creation process of the album.
"I like the concept, and the album name. I like the effort put into it. I like the creativity. I do not like his music tho...." - a user comments on DDG's new album

While speaking to Fader in an article published on April 24, DDG revealed the thought behind the album's creation process, saying,
"During that week, I just let all the supporters get into my creativity and kind of collabed with them on what they want. Because at the end of the day, they the consumers, it's not me. I'm creating the product for them to enjoy, so I'd rather just give them exactly what they like."
What tracks made it to DDG's Blame the Chat tracklist?
DDG's newest album, Blame the Chat, is here, and here are the tracks that survived the livestream.
First up is Motion with DaBaby, which originally came out as a pre-release single in April. Other tracks include Lemonade with Wiz Khalifa, Speed featuring Ty Dolla Sign and Rich the Kid, and More than a Night alongside Queen Naija and Rob 49, along with a surprise vocal addition from Shenseea.
Other tracks outside of the livestream sessions that made it to the tracklist include, fine shyt and pink dreads which the artist had released in late 2024.
However, some tracks, including Fed Up and Cash Flow featuring Dina Ayada and 310babii, didn't end up making it to the album.
The artist's collabs with Shaboozey, including Outlaw and Last Week, also didn't make it to the album.
