"I think it will be fun to plan" - Taylor Swift talks about her wedding plans and how fiancé Travis Kelce went "all out" in his proposal

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and actress Taylor Swift, who is engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce, shot for the British chat show The Graham Norton Show on October 3, 2025, to promote and discuss her brand-new album The Life of a Showgirl.

While she talked about the much-awaited album, the False God hitmaker, Taylor Swift, also opened up about Kelce and shed light on the moment the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end proposed to her.

The 35-year-old Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, was dropped at midnight on October 3, 2025, the Cruel Summer singer. During her conversation with Graham Norton on the show, she praised Kelce and shared how he surprised her and went "all out." Swift said:

"He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in." (via People Magazine)

As it was her first time appearing on television since the football star and podcaster Travis Kelce proposed to her, Taylor Swift added:

"He went all out - 10 out of 10."

The Love Story hitmaker, Taylor Swift, who broke the news of her and Kelce's engagement on August 26, 2025, when asked by Norton about her wedding plans, she said:

"You’ll know."

Then Swift went ahead and said:

"I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan."

Taylor Swift, who also starred in movies such as Tom Hooper's 2019 musical-fantasy film, Cats, and David O.Russell's 2022 comedy-thriller film Amsterdam, opened up about The Life of a Show Girl, revealing how she relied on her songwriting skills to stay inspired while she was on her Eras Tour. Swift told Graham Norton:

"I was physically exhausted - sick and worn down - so to spark me up, I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes. It stopped me hitting a wall."

According to People Magazine, Swift also shared that her new album, which is her 12th studio release, is less introspective compared to her other albums. Swift said:

"In recent years, I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn’t like doing a complete autopsy of myself."

Taylor added:

"I think my wheelhouse is bigger now. I feel I can do anything now while running in heels. I am confident to write higher choruses, jump an octave, and do falsetto stuff. I have more confidence after the tour."

As the Blank Space singer, Swift, opened up about her new album and her wedding plans on Graham Norton's chat show, she also revealed that the song Opalite from The Life of a Show Girl is her father Scott Kingsley Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce's favorite song. Taylor said:

"My dad is very excited about 'Opalite,' and it is Travis’s favorite."

She further added:

"Growing opals in a lab is an interesting metaphor for making your own happiness; to rise above the trials and tribulations and be happy you did things on your terms."

Besides Taylor Swift, other prominent personalities such as Cillian Murphy, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, and Domhnall Gleeson were also part of the October 3, 2025, episode of the Graham Norton Show. The show will be airing on BBC One at 5:40 ET.
