Ice Spice has finally put an end to years of supposed conflict between the two rappers by confirming that Latto was the one who played an important role in their collaboration, "Gyatt." To the surprise of everyone who had followed the whole conflict between the two musicians, the Bronx native disclosed during a livestream with Kai Cenat on September 4 that the Big Energy hitmaker reached out to her to make the song collab.

The new track, which was released on September 4, is already making waves for the energy it's giving. The cover art features Ice Spice and Latto posing inside a ring with wrestling outfits with the word "Gyatt" written in a WWF-inspired font.

They play around with each other in the lyrics, in a rival sort of way and not as a way of reigniting their beef again. Latto starts with:

"I s--- on hoes for sure, but I ain't into the scat."

Raps Latto, as she referenced Ice Spice's 2024 banger "Think U the S*** (Fart)" followed by the lines

"I turn around and thick s--- has entered the chat, okay."

As she nodded at Ice Spice.

The music video was released a day later on 5 September 2025, which was directed by Hidji World. The video also contains cameos from Deshae Frost, Tylil James, and Love Island’s JaNa Craig. The music video shows the energy that the two rapper have. The music video can be viewed below:

A timeline of Latto and Ice Spice's beef

The beef started when fans started comparing Spice and Latto to one another back in 2023 because of their similar Y2K-inspired looks, which sparked speculations about a potential feud. Since Ice is frequently given credit for bringing the style back, others accused Latto of "copying" her. This accusation swiftly turned into a rivalry amongst fans.

By late 2023, the stress began to reflect in their music. Latto's verse on her track, which featured Offset, “Fine As Can Be”, was interpreted to be directed at Ice Spice's breakout track “Munch (Feelin’ U).” She rapped:

"That n---- a munch/Yo’ bookin’ fee, ate it for lunch/I don’t do backends, need it up front/I’m big dawg, you bitches is runts/ Don’t pull wigs, don’t pull stunts/I pull triggers and I pull blunts/I pull cars like it’s Tonk/Bitch, you couldn’t top me in the bunk."

In January 2024, Ice Spice retorted with "Think U the S--- (Fart)," which appeared to be directed at Latto's collaboration with Cardi B on “Put It on da Floor Again.” Spice rapped:

"I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/She all on the floor, told her get up."

The jabs didn't stop at lyrics. It went on to a whole different level on social media. Ice Spice also confirmed on X Spaces that it was directed at the Big Energy hitmaker:

“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak a** snippet. So I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me,’ and I dropped that. I was like, ‘This has to be fake — this is AI,’ but bi**hes be bold, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’re being bold today.’”

The Big Energy hitmaker further stoked rumors in June 2024 when she celebrated a milestone with a cake adorned with a poop emoji. The caption read:

"Think I'm the s**, b****?????"*"

which many took as a direct jab at Ice.

Ice Spice dismissed the rivalry in a Rolling Stone cover story in July 2024, stating:

“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her, ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me. I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Sh*t’ is from January.”

She added talking about the birthday cake:

“You’re going to post a piece of sh*t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me again.”

After the Big Energy hitmaker had spoken about it in an interview with Billboard magazine:

If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”

She added:

“Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me; I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like… would it even make sense? It wouldn’t.”

In an episode of Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts in September 2024, Latto, while talking about upcoming rappers:

“It gives me like… Ice Spice. It was like, ‘I’m so cute, grah.’”

But Ice dismissed it, explaining that the beef began as a joke:

“I feel like it was a joke, but it became a bigger thing when Latto dragged it out. If there is any real issue between us, it isn’t on my side.”

Ice Spice and Latto's collaboration has shocked the world as they went from being one of the most talked-about female rivalries in rap to dropping a banger like "Gyatt" as collaborators.
