On June 20, 2025, the court resumed for Brendan Paul’s testimony amid Diddy’s ongoing trial. The rapper’s former assistant, also referred to as ‘drug mule,’ appeared took the stand in court on Friday following a two-day break.
The sixth week of Diddy’s trial wrapped up with summary witnesses, notably Ananya Sankar and DeLeassa Penland, and Brendan Paul’s testimony. Earlier in the week, summary witnesses presented summary charts in front of the judge and jury.
Paul revealed that he began working for Sean Combs after completing his graduation in 2022 and stopped working for him on March 25, 2024, following his arrest at Miami Airport.
During the hearing, Brendan Paul highlighted several significant facts while also refuting allegations of being a drug mule for Sean Combs.
Key Highlights of Brendan Paul’s Testimony
Brendan revealed he found cocaine sweeping Sean Combs’ room in 2024
Brendan Paul said he was on his way to a family vacation with Combs when he was arrested for possession of cocaine in 2024.
Paul claimed it wasn’t his cocaine, and he had them in his bag as part of his personal assistant duties.
“It was in my Goyard bag for personal assistant duties.” Brendan Paul commented.
Brendan revealed that he found cocaine in Diddy’s room while he was sweeping it. He grabbed the cocaine to put it somewhere else, but forgot to remove it from his own bag before leaving for the trip.
Paul explained his duties when he joined Diddy in 2022
Brendan Paul stated that he was interviewed at Comb’s LA home in 2022. Initially, he received instructions from Diddy’s other personal assistants.
Paul testified he handled Puff Diddy’s travel logistics and packing, and helped the rapper with his fitness workouts, meal plans, and music-related needs. Ex-assistant allegedly claimed packing marijuana joints in Combs’ garage.
Former assistant claimed he worked 100 hours a week for the rapper
Brendan Paul revealed that he generally worked between 80 and 100 hours weekly under the rapper. He stated that he often worked four to six days per week, but was perpetually on call. Paul said that his initial compensation was $75,000 per annum, which was then increased to $100,000. He further testified that he received payment from Combs Enterprises.
Paul stated he was fired by Combs for forgetting his fanny pack
Brendan asserted that his objective was to ensure Sean Combs's perpetual happiness. Paul stated that Combs instructed his assistants to function proactively, akin to SEAL Team Six.
A former assistant reportedly disclosed that Diddy terminated his employment two or three times throughout his tenure. In late 2023, Paul testified that he forgot Combs' LuluLemon fanny pack when he intended to go for a walk. It was one of the times when Combs dismissed Brendan Paul. Subsequently, circumstances returned to their usual state.
Ex-assistant mentioned ‘wild king nights’ during testimony
Brendan stated that he organized and tidied up on several occasions during his gig for Diddy. Kristina Khorram, the rapper's former head of staff, referred to them as "wild king nights."
Ex-assistant articulated his interpretation of ‘wild king nights’ as encompassing partying, alcohol, s*x, and drugs. Initially, the nights occurred at hotels during his tenure with Combs, Paul claimed; but Combs ceased this practice following the Cassie lawsuit.
Brendan also claimed that he cleaned hotel rooms following wild king nights on several instances. He went on to say that he threw away liquor and baby oil while cleaning up rooms for Sean Combs.
These were the key points of Paul’s testimony. Following Paul’s hearing, the court was taken through summary charts of the case, throwing light on more text messages and records of Sean Combs, Cassie Ventura, and others involved in the proceedings.
