A year after Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl revealed he had welcomed a child outside of his marriage, the musician and his wife, Jordyn Blum, appear to have found their footing again.

The couple, who first met in 2001 and tied the knot in 2003, share three daughters: Violet Maye (19), Harper Willow (16), and Ophelia Saint (11). In September 2024, Dave Grohl admitted to fathering a fourth child "outside of my marriage."

The announcement fueled widespread speculation about whether his decades-long partnership with Jordyn Blum would survive.

Now, an insider close to the pair tells People they are “very happy.”

“She's forgiven him. They never wanted a divorce though — the idea of splitting up their family was too sad for both of them. They love their girls and they're both great parents.”

Following Dave Grohl's shocking announcement on Sept. 10, 2024, the insider revealed that Jordyn Blum “was initially distraught, but the betrayal was painful for both of them.”

The Foo Fighters frontman, at the time, wrote in a statement:

"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Due to this, he “felt terrible and begged her to forgive him," while friends also played a role, according to the source.

“She is surrounded by friends who believe in marriage and encouraged her to fight for it.”

Another insider close to the family also emphasized the weight of the moment for the "Everlong" hitmaker, saying:

“He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”

Jordyn Blum’s initial reaction was different. In late 2024, sources told People:

“It was just such a shock for Jordyn. Her first instinct was that she wanted a divorce. The betrayal felt too heavy. But as weeks passed, she got some space to think and it just felt very sad to her if the family would split up.”

Since then, the couple has been seen together more frequently. They celebrated Christmas as a family, attended Wimbledon this past July, and have been photographed at public outings in Los Angeles, most recently, on Sept. 5, when they joined friends for a Supergrass concert at the Hollywood Palladium.

The insider continued:

“They're very happy now. She feels it was all worth fighting for.”
