Jack Osbourne, the youngest son of the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, paid tribute to his late father following the late singer's funeral on July 30, 2025, which took place in Birmingham, England. The Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy, who was facing multiple health complications and also suffering from Parkinson's disease, died on July 22, 2025, because of a heart attack, according to the Associated Press. He also had coronary artery disease as per his death certificate, which was obtained by The New York Times.
The 39-year-old Jack Osbourne, who didn't share anything on social media regarding his father, Ozzy's passing away, finally broke his silence. He took to his official Instagram handle and shared a post honoring his late father on August 6, 2025. Jack shared a video of old and recent unseen pictures and clips of Ozzy with him and other members of the big Osbourne family, including his grandchildren.
The video compilation also features unseen pictures of Jack growing up with his father. Not to mention, the video also showcased a picture of him with Ozzy and his mother, Sharon, backstage at the Back to the Beginning concert, which was his father's and Black Sabbath's last show. Jack poured his heart out in the caption, where he wrote a heartfelt message for his late father. The caption of his Instagram post read:
"I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much. I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches."
Jack went ahead and continued:
"He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him “Dad”. My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing."
Jack, who is the father of four daughters, took the opportunity to mention a Hunter S. Thompson quote to describe Ozzy. The quote:
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body...but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’"
Jack ended the post by writing:
"That was my dad. He lived and he lived his life fully. I love you dad."
