On August 21, Hobi shared an Instagram post featuring BTS' Jimin and Jungkook together in the recording studio.
As seen in the clip apparently recorded by J-Hope, BTS' Jimin stood in front of the microphone while Jungkook smiled, standing next to him.
The latest video of the duo went viral on social media quickly, fueling subunit rumors online. Fans got excited as they ended up speculating BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook subunit for an upcoming song. Consequently, the duo’s fans flooded the internet with their anticipation for Jimin and Jungkook, aka Jikook, collab. One of them on X wrote:
“Ugh is this the song my man was talking about?! Jikook subunit coming!!!!”

While some labeled it as the collaboration of the year, others looked forward to what they’re cooking for their fans.
“Give us COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR,” a fan said.
“WHAT ARE THEY COOKING OMG,” said a fan.
Some fans also suggested that it can be a collaborative work of Jimin, Jungkook, and J-hope, while others thanked Hobi for sharing updates from the studio.
“Of course it had to be hobi who would bless us jikookas with a video of jikook I thought I had hallucinated their existence,” commented an admirer.

Hobi shared multiple pictures of his bandmates spending time in the US while working on their upcoming new album. These pictures include the full group photo featuring all members at the beach.
In addition to this, BTS’ Jimin can also be seen alone in one of those photos, sitting shirtless, facing the beach. The tattoos on BTS' Jimin’s back can be seen in the latest photo.
Hobi also shared a short clip of V singing on the mic. He wore a yellow tee with ‘Jazz Dept’ lettering. Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, also appears in Hobi’s latest Instagram post, walking on the beach. J-hope also posted a mirror selfie with SUGA among other pictures.
