BTS' j-hope was spotted at the BLACKPINK DEADLINE tour, a celebratory moment for both fandoms.
BLACKPINK kicked off their DEADLINE tour in Seoul on July 5, 2025, and the second night of their two Goyang stadium shows was graced by chart-topping Kpop idols and A-list Kdrama actors alike. However, one celebrity who caused quite a stir by his presence was none other than BTS' j-hope.
Netizens were quite thrilled to see the BTS rapper and hip hop singer show up to support the BLACKPINK girls on their first tour since 2022. The Chicken Noodle Soup singer essentially caused a frenzy the moment fans spotted him. He wore black tshirt over a black vest and dark brown pants at the concert and was later on seen cheering the girls as they performed.
One fan reacted to j-hope's appearance: "J-Hope at BLACKPINK’s Deadline Tour? Army + Blinks = Stage on Fire! 🔥 Legends supporting legends — K-pop supremacy unlocked! 👑💣"
Fans react to j-hope's attendance at BLACKPINK concert
The singer's presence caused quite an upheaval in the K-pop community because reportedly the two groups have an unspoken rivalry against each other. Though there have never been any sour moments between the two groups and they have always been supportive and polite to each other, the conspiracy and rumours are mostly fueled by the fandoms, and their competitiveness, given that both groups are global powerhouses in terms of music, fashion, popularity and so on.
However, most Blinks and Armies were overjoyed to see j-hope cheering BLACKPINK on, though some did trigger debates on social media.
One user expressed: "Its insane how the war is literally between the fans where as the both of groups are supporting each other and have nothing but mutual respect."
Another joked, "Why does jhope attending the tour brings more attention than the tour itself??"
One army commented, "He acts like he is the main character. And I love it."
While one user called out fans, "Blinks hating him online but getting all excited seeing him in person."
One netizen exclaimed, "I don't understand why fans of two such beautiful groups with the same culture fight each other. Maybe J Hope wanted his fans to make peace, not for his fans to attack each other."
While another expressed, "This is how it should be. Artist enjoying their life and going to whoevers concert they wish too. Blackpink and bts have never said anything bad or hurt each other. It's always the fandoms. World would be a better place if people were as fast as to love than they spread hate."
Besides j-hope, SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, The8, and Jeonghan, YG entertainment artists such as boy group TREASURE, WINNER’s Kang Seungyoon and BABYMONSTER, LESSERAFIM, Minnie from IDLE, RED VELVET’s Seulgi and Irene, along with TWICE’s Nayeon and Jihyo, Jisoo's co-stars actor Lee Min Ho and Jung Hae In and more also showed up to support Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo's group comeback.
