Katy Perry took to the stage at The Town Festival on September 14 in São Paulo, Brazil. During her performance, Katy expressed appreciation for her Brazilian fans and addressed the audience of The Town, stating,
"My biggest fans are in Brazil! We will make it happen - we will come to Brazil. No matter what's going on in my life, high or low or anywhere in between, the one thing that stays constant is my Brazilian fans."
The singer revealed that she had received warnings that a performance in Brazil would be too costly, but she had her mind set. 'The Town' is a massive music and culture festival created by the same organizers of Rock in Rio. The first edition of the festival debuted in 2023 at the Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo. The event is known for providing a multi-stage platform to international as well as Brazilian artists across various genres, including pop, rock, rap, funk, and EDM.
It has featured global artists such as Post Malone, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Demi Lovato, and Brazilian acts like Ludmilla and Iza.
This is not the first time Perry has shown appreciation for her Brazilian fans. After performing at 2024's Rock in Rio festival, Perry took to her Instagram stories expressing her gratitude for the audience's enthusiasm, stating that it was "the loudest I have heard them sing my songs."
