On May 12, 2025, Sean Diddy Combs’ trial kicked off with opening statements. Witness Daniel Phillip, a male dancer, made certain claims. As per the court proceedings posted on X by @innercitypress, the male dancer alleged that Cassie Ventura paid him to share an intimate moment.

Narrating a particular incident, he said he was asked to share his contact number. Later, Cassie called him for a photo, and they met on other occasions. He said he would send her offensive messages. When AUSA or the Assistant United States Attorney asked if he ever used baby oil, the male dancer answered every time.

He recalled when Diddy said there wasn’t enough baby oil and asked him to stop engaging in the activity. On another occasion, he was even asked to do a role play. According to his statement, everything happened under the direction of Combs.

The male dancer claimed these activities continued at Combs’ and Cassie’s place for a year or two. He also claimed that these activities were recorded by the hip-hop mogul, which made him feel threatened.

When AUSA asked if he was ever given intoxicants, he said he was once asked to have Molly, although he wouldn’t use these substances. He also mentioned that there was another male escort who engaged in physical activities with Cassie at her apartment.

AUSA Comey asked if he got paid when he couldn't perform, and the male dancer replied negatively. He also said he never asked for money but enjoyed the thrill of sharing the company of those people.

The male dancer said he was a witness to Diddy physically hurting Cassie

The male dancer also mentioned that the day he saw Diddy hit Cassie, he couldn't continue his work anymore. He wasn't able to object since the bodyguards were around. However, he felt he had developed a bond of friendship with Cassie, but then he added saying he could have been speculating. As per his statement, Combs told Cassie:

“He said, B*tch when I tell you come over, you come over. I didn't know what to do.”

Phillip explained that he didn’t seek help because he feared for his safety. He believed Diddy had too much power and worried that even reporting the situation might still cost him his life.

When first hired as a dancer, Phillip mentioned seeing Cassie wearing a red wig, stockings, and sunglasses in a hotel room. Diddy was also present, wearing a white robe, with his face partially covered by a bandana and a cap, though his voice made it clear who he was.

During her opening statement, AUSA Emily Johnson said Cassie was made to sleep with male escorts while under the influence, and that the encounters were recorded. These videos were allegedly used to blackmail her, with Diddy reportedly threatening to ruin her career by releasing them.

According to HotNewHipHop, Johnson labelled them as "souvenirs." She also said that Combs used manipulation, dr*gs, threats, and violence to control both Cassie and another person referred to as "Jane."

Johnson gave an example of one particularly violent incident where, after finding out Cassie was seeing someone else, Diddy searched for her. He allegedly told her he had killed the man, then beat her severely by kicking her in the back and throwing her around.
