Lizzo has officially revealed that her latest project is getting a major upgrade. The Grammy- and Emmy-winning star announced on Instagram that the deluxe edition of her mixtape, My Face Hurts From Smiling, will drop at midnight on Friday, September 5, 2025.

The updated version is expected to feature new tracks and remixes. Notably, the announcement did not come through a label press release. Lizzo posted it herself and took to her official Instagram to write,

"LET FEMALE RAP FALL BEGIN 😤 MY FACE *STILL* HURTS FROM SMILING (THE DELUXE) OUT AT MIDNIGHT 😤 #FEMALERAPFALL"

Lizzo's real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson. She first broke into the mainstream with songs like "Juice" and "Truth Hurts." The latter became a No. 1 hit in 2019. Her mixtape, My Face Hurts From Smiling, was officially released in June 2025. The record mainly leaned into rap.

It featured 13 tracks and featured collaborations with notable stars: Doja Cat appeared on "Still Can't Fuh," and SZA joined her on "IRL." The deluxe edition of the mixtape is now set to follow two months later.
