On August 19, BTS' Jungkook shared a few song recommendations via his Instagram stories, one of which featured UMI’s popular track Something New. Soon after the BTS idol shared the American artist’s song on his story, UMI expressed gratitude to Jk for giving recognition to her music.
UMI shared a special post on her social media account to thank BTS' Jungkook as he shared her track among his recommended tracks. Fans were pleased to see this indirect interaction between the two music artists. As a result, fans filled the internet with their love and appreciation for BTS’ Jungkook and UMI. One of them on X commented:

Many other fans liked BTS' Jungkook and UMI interaction. While some praised the latter’s musical compositions, calling them soothing and her voice beautiful, others said they got obsessed with UMI’s songs.
