Fans react to JID's unreleased project with J. Cole.

Destin Choice Route, better known by his stage name JID, just revealed that he has an unreleased 15-track project together with J. Cole, and the internet is in shambles.

In an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast he said, "Me and Cole got a body, a 15-track smoker. Me and him, back and forth. We worked on this shit in New York, I ain't never told nobody this. Sorry, Cole... And also, The Fall Off gon’ be really good."

Budden replies,

“I don’t think there’s anybody out there against that. I think a lot of people are looking forward to that with all of the shit that occurred.”

His comment is also a nod to the mess Cole got into last year. Jermaine Lamarr Cole, better known as J. Cole, included himself in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef last year by releasing his "7 Minute Drill" diss track in response to Kendrick Lamar's fiery "Like That." However, the rapper regretted doing the same as at his Dreamville Festival in North Carolina on Sunday, and he issued an apology.

"I put out this project on Friday called, Might Delete Later... I don't know how many people checked it out or whatever (a projected 140-160K). And, I swear to God... I'm so proud of that project. Because, I know, one, it's just an EP that leads me to this thing that I've been working on for a long time and I know the work it took to get to a certain type of skill level... that shit mean a lot to me... I'm so proud of that project, except for one part."
J. Cole continued, "It's one part on that shit that make me feel like, 'Man, that's the lamest shit I ever did in my f***ing life, right?' And, I know, this is not what a lot of people want to hear...I can hear my n***as up there right now like...'nahhh, don't do that.' But, I gotta keep it 100 with y'all. I damn near had a relapse, right? Because, y'all heard some shit that happened two-three weeks ago, however long it was. ... Y'all heard that bazooka that was dropped on the motherf***ing game."
He further added, "Y'all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I. So I just wanna come up here and publicly be like bruh, that was the lamest goofiest shit, and I say all that to say it made me feel like 10 years ago when I was moving incorrectly, and I pray that god will line me back up on my purpose and my path, I pray that my n***a didnt feel no way and if he did, my n***a, I got my chin out, take your best shot, I'ma take that shit on the chin, boy. Do what you do. all good. It's love. And I pray that y'all will like, forgive a n***a for the misstep and I can get back to my true path, 'cause I ain't gonna lie to y'all, the past two days felt terrible."

Internet reacts to JID and J. Cole's project

While some fans are quite excited by this collaboration and want JID AND J. Cole to release the project as soon as possible, others couldn't quite care and they let their feelings be known.

A user stated, "We need that joint project immediately"
Another expressed, "Not gonna be released, JID is too good and it’ll make Cole look like lil pump"
One fan commented, "Bout to be the best rap of all time"
While another user said, "no one cares. who tf listens jid???"
"This is never dropping guys," a fan sadly expressed.

Though the project might receive love from fans of both artists, there is a chance it might not see the light of day. Meanwhile, J. Cole has an upcoming album, "The Fall Off ." The rapper's producer, DZL spoke up about the album, saying,

“It’s Cole in his bag. Top-tier raps, top-level rapping, top-level storytelling. This project is going to give people a deeper insight into him as a man, him as a human being, him as a father, and him as a husband."
“I think he’s mysterious and stays out of the public eye, away from the spotlight,” he continued in J. Cole's vibe in this album. “This album is going to give more of an insight into who he is, and it’s really incredible—top to bottom, no skips. I really can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

The release date, however, is still under wraps.
