Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have confirmed their return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026. Their tour has been titled The Wild God Tour. It will be the band's first shows in the region since 2017.
The run is set to stretch across January and February. It includes ten dates and features multiple outdoor venues in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, alongside indoor stops in Adelaide and Wellington, New Zealand. This tour announcement follows an international stretch of The Wild God Tour through Europe, North America, and the UK in 2024 and 2025.
For Australian and New Zealand fans of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, this will be the first opportunity in nearly a decade to experience Cave and his band live.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announced this trek via an official Instagram post, which read:
"Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will bring their acclaimed WILD GOD TOUR to Australia and New Zealand in January and February 2026, their first live shows in the region since 2017. These unmissable events will be held in outdoor settings in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, with indoor shows in Adelaide and Wellington, New Zealand. Tickets on sale Friday 29 August at 10 am local time from nickcave.com"
Additionally, in an official press release, Nick Cave stated:
"The band will perform a setlist drawn from their latest album Wild God, alongside songs spanning the four decades of their storied career."
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds were formed in 1983 following the breakup of Cave's earlier group, The Birthday Party. Since then, the band has released 18 studio albums. Their latest, Wild God, was officially dropped in August 2024. It was produced by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and mixed by David Fridmann. It entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 5, peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and was nominated for awards, including two Grammy categories.
