More about Demi Lovato's new album
Demi Lovato's recent track release, "Fast," marks her return to the pop music genre after she mentioned that she explored rock in her previous album, Holy Fvck. Her upcoming album will be executive produced by music producer Zhone, who has also worked with Kesha, Troye Sivan, and Charli XCX. While speaking to Rolling Stone, Zhone opened up about working with Lovato and said,
"It's been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout."
Earlier, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 19, 2024, the singer revealed that she's working on a new album.
"It's true. I'm working on new music. I'm kind of figuring out my sound right now. I don't know when it'll come out but it'll come out when I'm ready."
Demi Lovato also revealed that she tends to write songs from the place she's "in the moment, and that she has been writing "nothing but love songs and s*xy songs because I'm in this really good place."
"It feels good to be able to write coming from that place"
Fast arrives nearly a year after Lovato's directorial debut with her documentary 'Child Star,' which highlights the lives of former child stars. She also recently married Jordan "Jutes" Luts earlier this year.
