The 2010s iconic girl group Fifth Harmony reunited onstage after seven long years after going on an indefinite hiatus in March 2018. Band members Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Normani, and Lauren Jauregui surprised the crowd at the Jonas Brothers' Dallas concert as they showed up in matching black outfits to perform their hit single Worth It. Camilla Cabello, who exited the band in March 2016, was missing.

After a video from their performance went viral on the internet, netizens took to social media platforms with memes.

The band also debuted a new logo. Hours after their performance, the group announced new merch featuring a dark grey t-shirt and hoodie with "Where were you on August 31st?" written at the back in silver. As per their social media post, the merch is on sale for only one night.

Why did Fifth Harmony go on an indefinite hiatus?

In March 2018, Fifth Harmony, in a joint Twitter statement, announced that they will be going on a hiatus to pursue solo careers after being together for six years,

"After six years going hard, non-stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to puruse solo endeavors."

News of their split came less than two years after the band announced Camila Cabello's exit in December 2016. Camilla was the first to exit the band to pursue a solo career. At the time of her exit, the band and Camilla reportedly had a statement battle. The band claimed that through her representative, Camilla had communicated that she would be leaving the band. However, Camilla, in another statement, mentioned that she was "shocked" by the band's statement.

Cabello claimed that the Fifth Harmony account had posted the statement without her knowledge,

"I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing. The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was "leaving the group" is simply not true."

As Camilla relinquished her rights to the band's name, the band re-signed with Epic Records and went on to make music and perform as a four-person band. The group was firmed on the singing show The X Factor in 2012 and gained instant recognition.
