Ozzy Osbourne was reportedly 're-energized' by his final concert

Considered the godfather of heavy metal music, Ozzy Osbourne, who took his last breath at the age of 76 in the United Kingdom on July 22, 2025, with his family members by his side, was quite thrilled and enthusiastic about the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5, 2025, which turned out to be the rock legend's last live performance. Some sources close to Ozzy's family informed Page Six that the godfather of heavy metal had the most satisfying and impactful exit.

Ozzy Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, had been dealing with several other health complications. As per Page Six, his health deteriorated in the last few months. As per Page Six, according to insider sources, the legendary band Black Sabbath's benefit concert, Back to the Beginning, made Ozzy excited as he felt lively again.

As per Page Six, an old friend of the late Ozzy Osbourne, regarding him and the concert, said:

"It energized him — it filled him with life. He’d really been slowing down, and then after the show he was really back to be being himself. It’s a beautiful ending."

Major metal bands that played at the concert, which took place at Aston Park Stadium in Birmingham, England, included Metallica, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Tool, and others. Ozzy's benefit concert raised close to $200 million, which would be used for many important causes, including research and development of a cure for Parkinson's disease.

Insider sources informed that the concert impacted Ozzy and created a significant lasting effect on him that continued for the last 17 days of his life. The insider shared:

"They couldn’t have asked for a better ending."

While the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, sang some of the all-time biggest hits, including Paranoid, War Pigs, N.I.B., and Iron Man, he was seated throughout the concert in a special black and purple chair, which appeared to be like a throne, mainly due to his mobility challenges and multiple health complications. Before leaving the stage for the last time, the godfather of heavy metal, Ozzy Osbourne, said to the cheering crowd:

"God bless each and every one of you."
