The globally renowned K-pop boy band BTS made headlines for their new live album PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE- LIVE. The boy band joined Beyoncé as the only artists to debut a live album with over 50 million streams in its first week. The album was dropped on July 18, 2025 and has 22 tracks from the group’s concerts.

Fans of the K-pop act were thrilled with their new milestone, blowing up the internet with love and admiration for them.

One of them said: “CONGRATULATIONS. GREATEST OF ALL TIME. POP TITANS.”

Fans react as BTS joins Beyoncé’s milestone

While many dubbed them as the biggest group across the world, others said that the group is far above K-pop.

“As expected from the biggest group in the world,” a fan said.
“People should stop calling BTS , the best k-pop group, because they are the Biggest Pop group in the world!” stated another fan.
“Just wanna say that if ur competing against Beyoncé, the bar is in hell,” commented a fan.

Some said the boy band knows how to put up a live show, while others emphasized how they are competing against Beyoncé.

“They're so far above K-pop!! They're on par with some of the greatest artists in the world.,” wrote an admirer.

BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE: LIVE features 22 songs

BIGHIT Music stated that the songs of the new live album are taken from the group’s popular shows in Seoul, LA, and Las Vegas.

“The notable release captures the dynamic energy of their ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’ tour, held across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas in 2021. Spanning 12 unforgettable shows that resonated through stadiums around the world, the album offers an immersive glimpse into BTS’ electrifying global stage presence.” the description read.

The company further said that songs are rearranged with fresh layers of sound.

“Many songs were specially rearranged for the tour, adding fresh layers to their sound. Through the album, listeners can be reminded of the radiant memories shared between the members and ARMY.” BIGHIT further added.

The K-pop group toppled the renowned American icon, Taylor Swift, with their new record. At present, the boy band’s “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE- LIVE" and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” occupy the first and second positions as the most significant debuts for live recordings in Spotify history.
