Fans are convinced that BLACKPINK may be making a comeback.

In a new photo circulating on X, the K-pop girl band's signatures can be seen embossed over a special star-shaped plaque. Fans have since begun flocking to X to share their excitement, speculating that something special may be forthcoming.

For the unversed, while the band, comprising Lisa, Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo, hasn't officially disbanded, all of its members have signed solo contracts of their own. Nonetheless, they still remain signed as a group to YG.

Here's how one fan reacted on X, for instance:

"QUEENS ARE COMING"

Here's how the rest of X is reacting:

"we’re seated for their comeback!" someone noted.
"look how distorted Lisa’s signature is, YGE can’t even give space for her signature when they already stealing her Star symbol which she clearly made her symbol during her entire solo year," another fan chimed in.
"BLACKPINK PAVED THE WAY," one more added.
"general public gonna support BLACKPINK," a fourth user penned.

The comments didn't end there:

"QUEENS ARE COMING," one fan gushed.
"Omg people must stop saying copying Lisa doesn't own that star and it's doesn't even look like lisa's star fans supposed to be excited but now their saying copying allegations if that star was black I would see but it's clearly purple lilies really must get a new brain, pls," someone else chimed in.
"Can lisa start actually doing legal things like putting out statements, tredemark her star logo and the name lilies, thieves are all around," yet another pointed out.
"OH MY GODDD," yet another exclaimed.

Users were visibly teeming with opinions, with some even going so far as to contend that the band's record label was doing Lisa wrong.

Here's all we know about Blackpink's status quo:

For the unversed, the band, one of the most successful in the K-pop arena, debuted back in 2016. Renowned for their tracks Kill This Love, Pink Venom, and Sour Candy, featuring Lady Gaga.

Over the years, the girls have headlined Coachella, with some even venturing into the acting field with projects like The Idol, The White Lotus, and Newtopia. They've also bagged collaborations with famed luxury brands like Saint Laurent, Celine, Dior, and Chanel.

Last year, all of the girls set out to make a solo name for themselves, prompting fans to wonder if the band is no longer together. Cosmopolitan has recently confirmed that fans can lay their worries to rest as the band is still together. This past July, YG's founder and owner, Yang Hyunsuk, revealed the band's plans for this year, as he said at the time:

"There will be a highly anticipated comeback from Blackpink, and it will also be the year Black starts their world tour."

In an August 2024 interview with Elle, Lisa reiterated that the band is just fine:

"Of course we want to do more, because Blackpink, it’s part of our lives. We still want to accomplish more. But on the other side, we also wanted to do something for our solo careers."

At the time of writing, further details about BLACKPINK's band remain unclear.
