Sabrina Carpenter is dominating summer this year: first, with the debut of her song, Manchild, and now, with the launch of a limited edition picture disc for her new album, Man’s Best Friend.

On the vinyl CD, she can be seen lying down on the bed with her hands gripping onto the headboard while a man kneels in front of it, staring at her in awe. The singer can be seen sporting a signature leotard in blue.

Carpenter announced this June 11 that her next full-length album drops this summer, as she shared the project's raunchy cover art in a post on Instagram. In it, she can be seen down on her knees, sporting a black dress and matching stilettos, while a man holds a fistful of her hair.

She also shared another up-close photo of a dog, sporting a blue collar and a heart-shaped tag that bore the album name.

"My new album, 'Man's Best Friend' 🐾 is out on August 29, 2025," she captioned the post. "I can't wait for it to be yours x. Pre-order now."

Everything we know about Sabrina Carpenter's forthcoming album

Sabrina Carpenter, a Grammy-winning singer, dropped Manchild on June 5, 2025, which has since become a hit across the globe. It scaled the Spotify U.S. and Spotify Global charts to the dominating position, and its accompanying visuals have already garnered over 18 million views on YouTube.

She teased the single ahead of its release by sharing photos and videos of herself, attempting to hitchhike while sporting stylish clothing and heels. She also plastered some of the track's lyrics on billboards along Interstate 69, which quickly went viral online.

In its accompanying 4-minute music video, which came out on June 25, Carpenter can be seen hitchhiking through the desert as she encounters several different men, none of whom seem to be competent enough to get her where she needs to be. The video has since amassed over 18 million views and 800k likes.

Billboard has reported that Spotify's countdown page states that Man’s Best Friend will feature 12 tracks, which includes last week's single. Manchild is currently scaling the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well. It was co-written and produced by Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, the former of whom is renowned for his collaborations with Taylor Swift.

“Manchild, why you always come a-running to me?/ F–k my life, won’t you let an innocent woman be?” she sings in the song. “Never heard of self-care/ Half your brain just ain’t there,” are lyrics of the song.

Man's Best Friend will be the Girl Meets World alum's seventh studio album. She dropped Short n' Sweet last year, in August, which boasted her hit tracks Espresso, Please Please Please, and Taste. All three were a massive hit on TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

The Daily Mail has reported that the album sold 10 million copies globally and nabbed Sabrina Carpenter six Grammy nominations for her first time as a nominee. She went on to win Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for Espresso.

Not long after her next album makes its debut, the former Disney child star will embark on the North American leg of her Short n' Sweet Tour, which has already sold out. It commences this October 23.

Fans speculate that Sabrina Carpenter's Manchild may be about her ex: Here's what we know

As reported by The Daily Mail, eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate that Sabrina Carpenter's latest single, Manchild, could have been about her ex, actor Barry Keoghan. She captioned her announcement at the time:

"This one’s about you!!"

The pair were first linked romantically back in December 2023, though the following year, they made things red-carpet official with their debut at the Met Gala that May. They kept things low-key, aside from Keoghan being featured in Sabrina Carpenter's Please Please Please music video. However, just this past December, the pair reportedly broke up, Cosmopolitan has reported.

Amid claims that their relationship wasn't doing so well since August, rumors began swirling that Barry cheated on his former beau. However, a source told US Weekly that Keoghan was committed to making Sabrina Carpenter, but they were at different places in their lives.

"It's been 'challenging for their relationship since she started going on tour and has been gone a lot' and that 'their schedules were not aligning. All the time spent apart, it was hard to maintain a relationship amid her career exploding."
