Sam Smith 2025 New York City residency: Ticket info, dates, and more explored

Sam Smith is officially returning to New York City this fall. The five-time Grammy winner has announced a 12-night residency at Warsaw, an intimate venue in Brooklyn, as part of their "To Be Free: New York City" concert series.

The newly announced residency is set to begin on October 8, 2025, and run through October 31, 2025. Sam Smith last played headlining shows in New York at Madison Square Garden in 2023. Each performance is limited to about 1,000 people.

The residency announcement comes alongside the release of a new single, also titled "To Be Free." Notably, the accompanying music video was filmed at the same venue where the residency will take place.

Sam Smith shared the 2025 residency announcement via an official Instagram post, which read:

"To Be Free: New York City. 12 shows, October 8th - 31st 🩵 This residency is something I have been thinking about and planning in my head for a long time. It's such a different experience to play intimate shows, and I'm so excited to host this in a city that I adore. Sign up for limited tickets. Pre Sale July 29th, 10 am local. General sale begins August 1st, 10 am local."

Sam Smith first broke into the mainstream scene in 2014 with their debut album In the Lonely Hour. It featured the international hit "Stay With Me." The project earned them four Grammy Awards. Since then, they have released multiple chart-topping records, including The Thrill of It All, Love Goes, and Gloria — the last of which includes the global hit Unholy" with Kim Petras.
