BTS' Taehyung recently made headlines for his solo track Winter Ahead after his song rose up on the Global Spotify chart. V’s song saw a significant jump of 89 spots on the chart, which landed the track at #102 position with 1.39 million streams on the music streaming platform.

Kim Taehyung, aka V, released his song Winter Ahead on November 29, 2024, while serving his term in the South Korean military. The BTS idol made this track in a joint effort with another musician, Park Hyo-shin.

Fans of BTS' Taehyung and his song were impressed with a recent rise in its popularity. As a result, fans inundated the internet with their praises for the Slow Dancing idol and his track. One of them commented:

As of this writing, Kim Taehyung is fulfilling his mandatory military service. He is scheduled for military discharge next month. In June 2025, V will be discharged from the military with his fellow bandmates, specifically Namjoon, Jimin, Jungkook, and SUGA. All of these members initiated their respective military service in 2023.

Currently, only Jin and j-hope have completed their military obligations. They were released in June and October 2024, respectively. During his military service, BTS' Taehyung regularly posts photographs on his Instagram account.
