Artists who cheered on for Lewis Capaldi's surprise Glastonbury 2025 performance.

Lewis Capaldi made a surprise comeback to the Glastonbury festival, leaving fans emotional. This performance comes after a two-year hiatus for the artist to focus on his mental health. The singer was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, which is a neurological disorder that causes sudden and uncontrolled rapid and repeated movements or vocal sounds called tics, in 2022.

In 2023, Capaldi was performing at Glastonbury when he had to pause his set midway due to a Tourette flare-up. He later paused his ongoing tour, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, to focus on his mental health and adapt to his condition.

It was rumored heavily that he would be performing. As soon as his name flashed up on the video screens at the back of the Pyramid Stage, thousands of fans erupted in cheers when confirming the speculations.

After performing his second song, Grace, the Scottish singer addressed the crowd,

"Glastonbury it's so good to be back. I'm not going to say much up here today because if I did I might start crying."
"My name is Lewis Capaldi and I'm back, baby."

He went on to sing "Someone You Loved," the same song he couldn't finish in his festival set the last time, and expressed with teary eyes,

"I couldn't sing this song two years ago. I might struggle to finish it today for different reasons."
"It's just a short set today but I just wanted to come and finish what I couldn't finish first time around." he added "Second time's a charm on this one, everybody."

Adding to the emotional moment and showing grave support for Lewis Capaldi, the audience chanted his name to the tune of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army.
