Justin Bieber released his seventh studio album, Swag, on July 11, and a lot of the tracks have references to his personal life, including some about his wife, Hailey Bieber, and son, Jack Blues.
In the track, Go Baby, Justin Bieber hypes up Hailey and opens up about how proud he is of his wife. In the first verse, Justin says,
"That's my baby, she's iconic, iPhone case, lip gloss on it / And, oh my days, she keeps 'em talkin, it's comedy, just block it, oh my baby."
This is a direct nod to Hailey's business skills for her makeup brand, Rhode, which created the viral iPhone cases, with a lipstick holder to hold Rhode peptide lip tints. He acknowledges the drama surrounding their relationship, and the song is allegedly a response to fans and netizens who accused Bieber of not being supportive enough for his reaction to Hailey's Vogue cover.
In a since-deleted caption, Justin Bieber posted Hailey's Vogue cover with the caption,
"Yo, this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight. I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue. Yikes, I know, so mean. For some reason because I felt so disrespected. I thought I gotta get even."
He went on to add that he was "sadly mistaken" after Hailey made it to Vogue. In the rest of the song, Justin comforts his wife and says,
"Nothing needs to work out and nothing needs to break/Don't need to pretend that you're okay/So cry on my shoulder,. just turn into me/Cry on my shoulder whenever you need it."
What other songs from Justin Bieber's Swag album are dedicated to Hailey Bieber
Social media users have pointed out that Go Baby is not the only track on the new album dedicated to Hailey Bieber. Justin Bieber's Devotion is the same song the couple used alongside their pregnancy announcement post in May 2024.
His track, Walking Away seemingly hints at the couple hitting a rough patch, but making it work.
"We better stop before we say some s**t / We've been testing our patience / I think we're better off if we just take a break / And remember what grace is."
He also reassured the subject of the song that he "ain't walking away", calling them a "diamond", giving them a ring, and making them a promise. He called the rough patches a part of "human nature" and promised to change.
