Sleaford Mods 2026 Australian tour: Presale, dates, venues, and more explored

The UK post-punk duo Sleaford Mods are officially heading back to Australia and New Zealand in 2026. The tour announcement comes after a relatively short break from live performances. It also follows the release of their latest single, "Megaton".

Sleaford Mods' return to the stage also includes a UK, Ireland, and Europe tour earlier in 2026. It is going to be Sleaford Mods' first time back across Oceania since their 2023 shows at Sydney's Vivid LIVE and Hobart's Dark Mofo.

This time, they are all set to deliver a series of headline dates across Australia and New Zealand in April 2026. They are expected to perform songs from UK Grim, as well as newer material, including "Megaton."

Sleaford Mods took to their official Instagram page to share the 2026 AU/NZ tour announcement, captioning;

"Australia, New Zealand. We are coming for ya. Sign up to the mailing list before midnight on Wednesday to get access to the presale. Snooze, you lose. Link in bio."

In a recent statement, Sleaford Mods frontman Jason Williamson spoke about their latest single:

"Megaton, No War No Death! We should be aligned with one another but instead we are crippled by social media and the resulting separatism: Genocide… swipe… gym bods… swipe… food pics… swipe… starvation. Killing upon killing, so much terrible, horrifying information followed by a cat meme followed by faces filtered beyond recognition"

He also added:

"Such is the weight of trauma, guilt and powerlessness in privileged societies that we squirm like an overloaded petri dish full of algae fed by the algorithm. Everything is wrong and everything as a reaction is argued to be right, and in this we give birth to behaviours that smother solidarity and cause mass waves of haemorrhaging alienation while the world quietly collapses offscreen."
