'SUGA is BACK' trends on X as BTS member returns from military service

OT7 is officially back together as BTS’ Suga has been discharged after completing his mandatory military service. Min Yoon-gi, professionally known as Suga and Agust D, is the final member of the group to finish his service. He completed it a day early by using his remaining leave.

While the other six members served in the army, Suga served as a social service agent, an alternative form of military duty. Earlier this month, RM and V were discharged, followed by Jungkook and Jimin the next day. Jin completed his service in June 2024, while J-Hope was discharged in October 2024.

Due to safety concerns about crowds gathering at discharge locations, no official celebrations were planned for his return. However, fans have been actively celebrating online with hashtags, messages, and fan edits of the second-oldest BTS member.

The BTS ARMY has been trending hashtags such as #BTS12thAnniversary, #SUGAisBACK, WELCOME BACK SUGA, and #SpringDayInJune in celebration of his return. The moment also marks the group’s full reunion as a septet for the first time in nearly three years, with Jin having begun his service in December 2022.

Supporters across the country have joined the occasion with banners, billboards, and themed installations.

One army celebrating the Spring Day in June project wrote,

A fan shared excitement for the milestone,

It has been reported that BTS will have its long-anticipated group comeback in March 2026. This would allow the members time to rest and regroup following their reunification, as well as wrap up J-Hope’s global tour.
