Swimming Bell 2025 debut Australian tour: Ticket info, dates, venues, and more explored

American psych-folk project Swimming Bell is officially set to perform in Australia in 2025 for the first time. The project is led by Los Angeles-based songwriter Katie Schottland.

The upcoming run of shows will span New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, and Western Australia. Swimming Bell has gradually become a known name in the US and UK over the last few years. The Australian keg follows the release of her recent EP Somnia, which was produced by Rob Schnapf.

Swimming Bell first released The Golden Heart in 2019. According to many, her music features Laurel Canyon folk influences with modern textures. She has previously played shows across the US and UK.

The newly announced 2026 AU trek was posted via Swimming Bell's official Instagram handle. The post read:

"☀️ Woweeee look at these cutiessss! UPDATED Australian dates! Swipe left or see below.☀️"

In a recent statement, the singer spoke about her latest EP, Somnia:

"I had a serious infection that I was dealing with, and after some less-than-fun shows, I just needed a break. I still wanted to stay active though, so I was still writing and messing around with ideas. I wanted to have everything based around percussion. Grooves and vibes, and not overly lyrical."

She also opened up about covering Beck's The Golden Age from Sea Change:

"I first heard Sea Change when I was in my early twenties, before I started playing music, and it had a huge impact on me. When I started recording my own music, I would always reference that Nigel Godrich production. I have a song that kind of starts similarly, so I was messing around at practice one day saying how we should play Golden Age sometime because it's a great song."
