SZA just dropped a jaw-dropping truth bomb about her hit track SOS, and fans are giving Beyoncé her flowers.
On April 29, the All the Stars songstress received a comment online, which said:
“She makes sure everyone and their mum is credited just for people to turn around and discredit her #beyonce”
But SZA wasn’t one to zip her lip. She responded with a sweet praise for Queen Bey:
“I literally owe her half my publishing off interpolation alone on SOS and she never pressed me lmao a generous QUEEN”

Fans react to SZA’s shocking SOS confession and praise for Beyoncé: "Real queens support queens"
After the Saturn singer revealed Beyoncé owns half the publishing on SOS, reactions poured in on X (formerly Twitter), and most were here for the respect and transparency.
“legends supporting legends. beyoncé is the blueprint for how to handle your crown,” @pro6lema wrote with a purple heart emoji.
“Borrow Beyoncé’s Listen hook and suddenly half your SOS publishing is a charitable donation to the Queen—how magnanimous,” @oksonoqui commented.
“this is how real stars handle business. beyoncé could've demanded more but chose grace. same energy as when she let others sample 'crazy in love' with minimal fuss,” @ai_newsmedia said.
“The Queen Bey, Beautiful SZA!!! That's amazing to see how supportive and generous Beyoncé is! SZA truly deserves all the love and recognition for her talent,” @CelestialAatif gushed.
“SZA giving Beyoncé her flowers for being generous over the “Listen” interpolation—real queens support queens!” @SyedMudasir107 replied.
“That’s real respect. Beyoncé’s generosity shines through without any pressure,” @Wisdom_wavesX shared.

SZA admits being “scared” to approach Beyoncé: “She's a masterclass on poise”
This isn’t SZA’s first time gushing over Beyoncé. In a 2024 interview with E! News, she admitted she was too enraptured to approach the Crazy in Love hitmaker.
"I was scared to go over to Beyoncé. I can't speak unless she wants to speak, in my brain, because I don't want to bother her. She looked so peaceful and beautiful.”
The Snooze singer went on:
“I just admire her. She's a masterclass on poise, grace, artistry, beauty and kindness."

But while she didn’t get the chance to speak to Beyoncé, SZA did cross paths with her equally iconic husband, JAY-Z, that same year.
“JAY-Z did speak to me. I was so grateful. Those are literally my favorite people, and it's so crazy that I be seeing them in real life."
She didn’t hold back her admiration either, adding:
“JAY-Z means the world to me. I'm a JAY-Z stan so bad.”
