Billie Eilish's single Birds of a Feather has become the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 3 billion streams. The track crossed the mark in 422 days. Fans on social media were quick to react to the beloved singer's latest achievement. One pointed out the role of Spotify's autoplay feature in driving its streaming numbers:

"Thanks to Autoplay"

Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather was officially released on July 2, 2024. It is the second single from her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The track was co-written with her brother Finneas.

It topped the Billboard Global 200, reached No. 1 in eight countries, and landed in the top five in the U.S. and U.K. By the end of 2024, it was one of the year's best-selling singles. It also got certified multi-platinum worldwide according to IFPI.

Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to announce that,

"'BIRDS OF A FEATHER' by Billie Eilish is officially the fastest song to surpass 3 BILLION streams in Spotify history."

Fans were notably quick to weigh in on the comment section as they shared their thoughts on Billie Eilish's latest achievement. Below are some of their reactions:

"Streaming success = brand strategy in music. Billie's consistency + unique identity = not just hits, but cultural dominance. 3B streams isn’t just numbers → it’s global brand power. 🎯 " declared another.

It is worth noting that at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in early 2025, Birds of a Feather was nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Its music video pushed it to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track also set airplay records. It logged 50 weeks on the Pop Airplay chart, which is the longest ever for a solo female artist.
