The Brian Jonestown Massacre 2026 Australian and New Zealand tour: Presale, dates, venues, and more explored

The Brian Jonestown Massacre are officially set to return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026. It will be their first run in the region since their tour was prematurely ended in 2023. It has been more than two years since the group last played to Australian audiences. Notably, frontman Anton Newcombe will perform once again with Joel Gion and Ricky Maymi.

The band's last trek collapsed midway through their Melbourne performance in November 2023 when Newcombe and guitarist Ryan Van Kriedt got into a physical onstage altercation. The remainder of that tour was cancelled. Van Kriedt is no longer part of the lineup.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre's newly announced Australian and New Zealand tour will kick off on March 17, 2026, in Auckland. Stops have been scheduled in multiple cities, including Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Castlemaine, and Perth.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre are expected to perform songs from their 2023 release, The Future Is Your Past, and newer singles "Makes Me Great" and "Out of Body." Tracks from their other 19 albums will also be featured in the setlist.

The group was formed in San Francisco in 1990 by Anton Newcombe. Their name is a reference to Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones and the Jonestown tragedy. Over the years, more than 40 musicians have passed through The Brian Jonestown Massacre lineup.
