Cardi B's reaction to Taylor Swift's album release date comes after the former announced a new single, Imaginary Player, from her upcoming album, AM I THE DRAMA?, which is set to release on September 19, 2025, two weeks before Taylor's album release.

Cardi, in a TikTok video, announced that there had been a miscommunication between her team and another artist's team.

"I had a really cool announcement for tomorrow and it got ruined cause somebody f***ed up, and it's not really somebody from my team, it's just a miss-uhm, misscommunication with another team and it's like, this is the type of s**t that'd be f***ing pi**ing me off"
