Ye, who used to go by Kanye West, announced in a short social media post that he is "done with antisemitism," signaling another turn in his ongoing series of controversial statements.

This comes after he put out a music video earlier this month that faced heavy criticism. The video featured unsettling images and lyrics that many called antisemitic. Major streaming services refused to platform the song, which led Ye to criticize the music industry’s choice.

The voiceover included,

“they don’t understand the things I say on Twitter, all my n****** N*zis, n***** Heil Hitler”.

After each bar, the chorus sounded,

“N***** Heil Hitler, n***** Heil Hitler, all my n****** N*zis, n***** Heil Hitler.”

An X user commented on Kanye West's post,

"the damage is already done lol you cannot go back to where you were," the user wrote.

Social media users on X weighed in on Ye's latest remark, saying:

"What made you change your mind?" an X user commented.
"You should go visit the Buchenwald Concentration Camp outside Erfurt, Germany in the middle of winter. It will put some hair on your chest as you tour the grounds. Then as you leave, walk by yourself as you walk down Blood Road after hearing what happened on that road everyday," another user wrote.
"How can you release a song called h**l H**ler then be "done" with antisemitism?" another wrote.
"I didn’t see any antisemitism in your posts or your music ye. This was creative expression and anyone who says otherwise is a bigot," another commented.
"Ye, they can't stop all of us. You have more support than you'd ever know," another wrote.

Kanye West's repeated reversals raise doubts about sincerity

This isn’t the first time the rapper seems to go back on earlier divisive statements. In the past, he has shared views supporting N*zi ideas, worn clothing with offensive symbols, and aligned himself with controversial rhetoric. While he has put out statements that hint at changing his position, critics believe he often contradicts those moments of remorse through his actions.

His newest comment comes during rising global tensions. A recent tragic shooting involving staff at the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., has drawn global attention. Ye did not refer to the event, but many have questioned if his timing relates to the news.

People notice that West’s past denials of antisemitism often don’t last long. In early 2025, he distanced himself from N*zi ties but later started sharing similar imagery and products again. In 2024, he said a movie made him rethink his stance, but soon after, he returned to making controversial comments.

The music world and the public stay wary, often asking him to show real accountability and change through actions, not just words. It’s unclear if Kanye West’s current statement will lead to lasting growth.
