"They'll never call you boring": Fans excited as Kesha drops new song 'Tennessee' with Orville Peck

Kesha, or Kesha Rose Sebert, dropped a new track, Tennessee, with Orville Peck on September 11. In the track she mentions how she would want to be remembered after her death and asks for "rhinestones" on her tombstone. Orville appears in the second chorus.

After Sebert dropped the track, fans took to social media to express their excitement. Users took to comment on the artist's X post on the track, where she also shared the track's cover which features Orville in a cowboy hat wearing a black eye mask as the singer kisses his cheek.

A user (@stefluvztv) suggested that the artist can never be called boring for her suprise drops,

Another user (@HRocker98) called the track "fun",

"I love it. It’s such a fun song"

Another user (@defendingdaniel) appreciated the artist tapping into country music,

"We love country kesha"

While another user (@BAX_143) hoped the song could be played in church,

"MOTHER it’s so good !!! a new Kesha classic methinks 🫶 pleeeeease play this in christchurch !!! xxxxxxxxx"

Another user (@KingintheCloud) also seemed to like the new track,

"wait this song slaps!!"

"I felt safe to explore my southern roots," says Kesha about collaborating with Orville Peck, Hudson Mohawke, and Tayla Parx

While Orville Peck's voice can be heard in the second verse of the song, Kesha has also credited Hudson Mohawke and Tayla Parx as featured artists. While speaking to Rolling Stone in an article published on September 11, the singer said,

"Making this song with Orville, Tayla, and Hudson was so much fun. I felt safe to explore my southern roots and excited to enter my room with these artists I've looked up to for years and making music that felt real and honest. They're all inspiring creatives who just want to make great music."

The singer in her X post also mentioned,

"Knowing it’s helping The Ally Coalition makes it even more special. I’m so proud to finally let the world hear it. Enjoy💋"

The track is set to be part of the special 10-year compilation record which will benefit the LGBTQ organization, The Ally Coalition, and will be called All Things Go: 10 years.

The full track list for the compilation record was unveiled on September 11, and also includes previously released singles. The album features 10 tracks and features collaborations with Maren Morris, Googly Eyes, Hoy Oladokun, Allison Ponthier, Emei, Orville Peck, Maude Latour, Rachel Chinouriri, Boyish and more.
