A new Taylor Swift documentary series is officially coming to the UK's Channel 4, and it is stirring up notable reactions online.

According to Deadline, the new docuseries has been titled Taylor (working title). The two-part docuseries will explore the beloved singer's 20-year career through interviews, rare archival footage, commentary from fans, critics, and industry insiders, among others. Channel 4 is reportedly pitching the upcoming program as a deep dive into one of pop culture's most influential figures.

The project is being developed by Sandpaper Films, which is mainly known for documentaries like Doom Scroll: Andrew Tate and the Dark Side of the Internet and A Deadly American Marriage. Channel 4 has positioned Taylor as a cultural study of the singer-songwriter's career.


Internet reacts as new Taylor Swift docuseries is set to air

Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to share that,

"A Taylor Swift documentary series is in the works at Channel 4."

Fans did not wait long to jump into the comment section of the X post as they shared their thoughts on the same, some of which included:

"Kings know this is a distraction, stay focused and keep building your Kingdom," declared an X user.
"I'm not trying to be woke or anything but can documentaries be about important topics?" questioned another.
"It's not affiliated with her but if it's good, we'll watch," stated a third.

Others also chimed in:

According to Channel 4, the upcoming docuseries will aim to "reveal fresh insights" into Swift's life and influence. The network described the project as a "rare archive-led" exploration of her journey so far. The series director, Guy King, shared in a statement to Deadline,

"Taylor is an unprecedentedly powerful 21st century voice for women and young people. Under the microscope of social media since the earliest days of MySpace and Tumblr, she came of age during a new feminist wave. With her fame came controversy, which she so skilfully wrestled to the floor. We are excited to tell her story."
