Mariah Carey's fans are in a frenzy following her announcement that her new album, Here for It All, is forthcoming.

The legendary songstress' new album drops this September 26 via Gamma. She announced it on her Instagram via a short clip of her striking a pose in pointed heels and a short audio overlay of herself singing the title track.

Fans have already begun expressing their excitement online, with one after the other noting that this next era would be "iconic." Here's how one user reacted, for instance:

"OMG MARIAH!! This Announcement Tho. Mariah Carey just dropped the BIGGEST news of the year and I can’t even handle it! #MC16 is coming! The wait was worth every second. This era is about to be legendary! she’s the GOAT."

Check out how the rest of X is reacting to the news:

"I haven’t even heard a single note and I’m already acting like this album cured my seasonal depression," one user quipped.
"We are #HereForItAll Mariah!!! This is going to be the Album Of The Year. Thank you for continuing to bless us with your greatness," someone else chimed in.
"Oh mariahhhhhh this is beautiful!!!! We are sooooooo excited," another exclaimed.

The comments didn't end there:

"this really feels like it is going to be a classic banger album," someone on X opined.
"Queen Mariah said Here For It All and I already know it’s gonna have me in my feelings, and spinning in the mirror," another gushed.

Legions online were visibly teeming with excitement at the prospect of more of Mariah Carey's music. However, it looks like only time will tell if it manages to overshadow her longstanding reputation of being a Christmas icon.

Here's everything we know about Mariah Carey's newest album:

As reported by Variety, Mariah Carey gave fans the first taste of her sixteenth album when she dropped “Type Dangerous" early last month. She co-wrote and co-produced it with Anderson Paak, who is also rumored to have doubled as the executive producer on the album.

Further details about the album remain scarce, though she has been alluding to the title of the second single, which could be "Sugar Sweet." The final track list is currently unclear. Just last year, she told the outlet that she was working on the album at the time:

“I’ve written some new songs. You know, I’m excited about it,” she said. “I have to figure out which songs I’m going to do and which songs I’m not going to do. But I think I’m very excited about it.”

Mariah Carey earned another feat just last month, the 50th Billboard Hot 100 hit, when her song “Type Dangerous” debuted at No. 95 on the singles chart. She last dropped an album in 2018, Caution. She spoke with Apple Music just last month about her newest project, as she told Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden:

“I’m trying not to tell too much about the new album. ‘It’s a special occasion/ Mimi’s emancipation’ — that’s a lyric from one of my songs,” she said at the time. “What is next? The album coming out. I don’t wanna tell too much about it because I just don’t want to reveal the whole thing. It’s finished.”

Mariah Carey also revealed that fans can expect 11 or 12 songs:

“We got some Mariah ballads,” she said, adding that “a second single is coming soon. I’m very excited about it. It’s very summery. I like the beat as well.”
