Taylor Swift's smash hit “Lover” re-enters the global Spotify chart.
As Taylor Swift is gearing up to release her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," her chart-topping hit song "Lover" has re-entered the global Spotify chart at #163 with 1.229 million plays.
"Lover" was the title track of her 2019 album of the same name, which featured fun, upbeat tracks and soft, dreamy ballads. The album, which dropped on the 23rd of August that year, featured 18 tracks, along with the collaboration track "ME" with Panic at the Disco's Brendon Urie.
According to Forbes, it is the only track that manages to rise on the Billboard 200 with just one week away from hitting 300 weeks, stepping up one space, from No. 53 to No. 52.
This rise could be due to the upcoming album and the following teasers and easter eggs the singer keeps dropping to entice her fans. In an episode of her boyfriend and NFL player Travis Kelce's podcast, "New Heights," the global pop sensation, Taylor Swift, announced TS 12, leading to fans accumulating their own theories regarding the album and everything that follows.
While the surprise appearance on the podcast was in itself a treat for her fanbase, the coupling hints and nuances were the cherry on top.
