Travis Scott earns the title of most-streamed rapper of all time, surpassing ‘Rap God’ Eminem.

Travis Scott might be the next rap god, as the Texan rapper surpassed Eminem, becoming the second most-streamed rapper on Spotify. This feat comes as it now has over 58 billion streams across the digital streaming platform. The news might make him overjoyed, as the "FEIN" singer has always had a healthy rivalry with Eminem, who is often considered the greatest of all time.

As for who covets the top spot, well, it's no one's surprise to see that honor with Drake, as not only is he the most streamed rapper, but he also became the first artist to surpass 110 billion streams on the platform this past March.

There is a good chance that the new grandfather in the grand scheme of things doesn't care much about being dethroned. He doesn't rap as much now; however, if he were to release new music or an album anytime soon, he might just get his spot back. Mathers just released another collaboration with JID for the Dreamville spitter's album "preluxe."

Internet reacts to Travis Scott's feat

Most of the internet was not happy and in disbelief to hear this, as they couldn't fathom how Travis Scott could compare to the greatest of all time. While some did celebrate the new milestone for the rapper.

One user commented, "I like Travis but spotify fakes all their numbers so their list means nothing"
Another stated, "95% his fans are adolescent white teenagers, not shocking at all"
While one said, "Always mentioning Eminem when someone surpasses him.. but about Eminem works, film, music oh you cant cuz that time you need"
One user was not happy to hear this, "dark, dark day for the world of music. Worry for future generations if this is where music is heading"
While one fan came to support, "Damn. Dude is having a great summer. Not my kinda rapping but I’m happy for him and hip hop. STRAIGHT UP"

This jump to the number 2 spot can be attributed to the latest release of his new album, "JACKBOYS 2," which possibly gave him an edge over Eminem. The album, though it did not seem to be everyone's cup of tea, did give the rapper enough to move forward, as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 232K units sold. The album did, however, perform very well commercially.
