Trisha Yearwood is sailing into uncharted territories with the release of her upcoming album, The Mirror. After decades of being primarily known as one of country music’s most powerful vocalists, she’s finally stepping into the songwriter’s circle and the producer’s chair for the first time. The Mirror is set to release on July 18 and will be her first album to be released in six years.

Trisha Yearwood has written the songs in collaboration with Erin Enderlin and Sunny Sweeney for her upcoming album. She even did a headlining tour in May 2025 to celebrate the occasion. The album is set to feature 15 tracks in total, with three advance tracks from the album, Bringing The Angels, The Wall Or The Way Over, and Girls Night In, already been released. These have been received with much fanfare by the fans of the artist.

Trisha Yearwood's upcoming album's significance

In a recent Instagram post, Trisha Yearwood gave fans a glimpse into the tracks of the album while sharing her excitement with the fans for The Mirror.

"This album is different from all the others in that I co-wrote every single song on this record. I’ve never done that before in my whole life. The Song Remembers When’ is me. ‘Walkaway Joe’ is me. ‘She’s In Love With The Boy’ is me. I made those songs mine when I recorded them, and I feel that I have lived those songs. But being a co-writer on these songs and coming in with, ‘hey, I wanna say this today,’ I think adds a layer that most people haven’t seen from me. So, I think that’s why I’m so excited about this record, is because it’s different in that way. I’m hoping it’s a side that people see and go, ‘oh yeah, I get that…’ That they just get to see a little different side, another layer."

Incidentally, apart from the upcoming album being her songwriting debut, it will also serve as Yearwood's homecoming of sorts, as she will be performing under the Music Corporation of America (MCA) banner, the label that launched her career. Trisha Yearwood also made an appearance on TalkShopLive recently to promote her upcoming album, where she talked about the self-doubt that had crippled her from her college days, and shared her journey towards overcoming it. She stated:

"It’s probably the most personal record I’ve ever made in my career. When I first started this process a couple of years ago, I really never intended to make an album. I thought, ‘I just want to do this for me.’ Somebody in college had told me I wasn’t a songwriter, and I just let it be the truth for 40 years, and then something just kind of clicked, and I just thought, ‘That doesn’t have to be the truth, just because somebody said that about me.’ And that kind of informed a lot of these songs. It’s almost like, here’s kind of what I wish I would have known. You can’t know until you know."

While the full tracklist of the album has not been fully released, Trisha Yearwood's recent appearances on podcasts as well as her social media activity have created a buzz among the fans. The three songs released until now have made all the right noises with fans and suggest that the artist hasn't lost a step even after taking a six-year sabbatical. Fans will be waiting eagerly for The Mirror's release.
