BTS' j-hope recently completed his Indonesia HOPE ON THE STAGE tour concerts after his scheduled performances in Jakarta. Several clips of Hobi’s Jakarta performance went viral on social media. While most videos gained praise for the BTS idol, one of them received critical remarks from netizens. The viral video showed BTS' j-hope going down from the stage to shake hands with his fans.
While he was going through, shaking his hands with fans, one of them grabbed his hand, which seemingly made BTS' j-hope uncomfortable. The clip also garnered much attention from online fans, who seemed to express their disappointment with such acts by Hobi’s fans. One of them called it disrespectful and wrote:
“Let his hands go!! Very disrespectful!! Whomever this is, you could have hurt him ! THIS IS NOT ARMY BEHAVIOUR”
Internet expressed displeasure at fan’s behavior towards BTS' j-hope
Many other online fans gave mixed reactions to the recent video. While some lauded BTS’ j-hope’s decision to wear gloves during concerts, others stated that it wasn’t an ARMY behavior.
“He's wearing gloves for protection and sensitivity. Good decision from him.,” a fan commented.
“This army's behavior, we other Chinese army are also very angry, not all Chinese army are so nonsense, regardless of hobi's safety forcibly pulled hobi.,” another fan stated.
“J-HOPE is not your property. Any contact or action that is disrespectful will harm both the artist and the fans. Please help us maintain a safe environment for J-HOPE to perform.,” wrote an admirer.
“Why are you holding onto the artist so rudely and not letting go?,” commented another fan.
Some said that fans should be more considerate of BTS' j-hope, while others dubbed it as the worst ARMY behavior.
“Please be considerate of him. He came here to greet his fans, and there are still many people waiting. You are just cutting off the opportunity for others.,” stated an admirer.
“Seriously this is NOT ARMY behavior,” a fan commented.
“So far this was worst army behavior during hos tour. Hobi will choose you if your are lucky. Don't steal anyones moment, Don't force him to choose. Wtf was she doin,” wrote an admirer.
“WHAT THE F*CK???? SO DISRESPECTFUL. IF I WERE BESIDE THIS GIRL I WOULD HAVE PRIED HER HANDS OFF OFF HIM IDC HE SHOULD BE CHOOSING YOU, NOT YOU FORCING HIM TO CHOOSE YOU. IDIOT.,” another fan commented.

In his most recent talk with Zane Lowe, BTS' j-hope discussed the K-pop group's reunion, which is set for June of this year. Currently, five members of the septet are serving their mandated military duty in South Korea.
Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Namjoon, Jimin, and SUGA are presently working in the military and are slated to be discharged in June of this year after completing their various tasks.
Kim Seok-jin and Jung Ho-seok are now the only two members who have finished their military service. Both members got out in 2024.
During the interview, BTS' J-hope indicated an upcoming song. Although he has kept the real name and launch date of his impending solo track a secret, he admits that it is one of his favorites so far. This will be his third single in 2025, following Sweet Dreams and MONA LISA.
