On August 11, 2025, Korean media outlet Naver reported that BLACKPINK is finally getting ready for their comeback in November this year. As per reports, the band will mark their return with a mini-album. The news came following many rumors of their new album that surfaced in the past few months.

Fans of BLACKPINK have been demanding new music from the girl group for a long now; therefore, they seemed disappointed with the latest reports of their mini album. One of them on X said:

“We waited 3 years for a mini album??? WE DESERVE A FULL LENGTH ALBUM!”

Fans disappointed as BLACKPINK is reported to come back with a mini album

Many fans gave mixed reactions to the girl group’s potential mini-album. While many demanded a full-length album, others said they are fed up with rumors. A few of them pointed out how Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie dropped their full-length solo albums but failed to serve a decent full-length group album for their comeback.

“a mini album after three years… lets bffr,” stated a fan.
“How come Rosé, Lisa and Jennie has able to release full album with more than 10 songs each in a year while Teddy was bragging about multiple recorded songs but unable to release a decent full album?,” a fan wrote.
“I hope we Blinks can agree not to buy a single thing if they give us a mini album. I'M FED UP WITH THE CRUMBS!! And it's YG's fault and the girls' for agreeing to renew under those HORRIBLE conditions,” another fan expressed.
“we fought for an album before the tour started, we ended up fighting for them to release 1 single before the tour (not even that) and we settled. We can’t now settle for a mini album that’s most likely just 1 song + jump + pink venom remix + 1 leak from 2017.,” commented an admirer.

Some fans expressed dissatisfaction as the majority of the group’s ongoing tour would conclude by November. Others were upset that they would not accept a mini-album release.

“WHY A DAMN MINI ALBUM AND NOT A FULL ALBUM 3 YEARS WITHOUT MUSIC FOR 4 NEW SONGS ??? NO THANKS,” wrote another fan.
“November? Duhhh- half of the asia deadline tour must be done by then. What a waste, we've been to born pink concert before, we want deadline... i hope the album will come sooner,” commented an admirer.
“It was supposed to be a full album in may and june, now its a mini album in november? Set these girls free plsss,” another fan said.
