Netflix's animated hit KPop Demon Hunters was launched in June 2025. The movie has crossed 325 million views so far. On Saturday night, the real-life singers behind Huntr/x, which is comprised of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, appeared on Saturday Night Live for their first televised live performance.

The surprise came during the Season 51 premiere of SNL. It was hosted by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny. In a skit, he played a superfan who was insisting that KPop Demon Hunters was a great movie.

His friends, played by Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, and Sarah Sherman, teased him for his obsession. Then, Emmy nominee Bowen Yang stormed in as Jinu, the demon leader from the film. Bad Bunny's character called for help, and Huntr/x appeared on stage and sang a snippet of their hit Golden. Fans reacted, saying:

"THE QUEENSSSSSS OH MY GOD THEY ATE THAT WE NEED A WORLD TOUR AND MULTIPLE ALBUMS NOW"

Pop Crave took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to share a clip of KPop Demon Hunters' Huntr/x's performance, captioning:

"HUNTR/X performs “Golden” in Bad Bunny SNL sketch."

Netizens were notably quick to weigh in on the comment section of the X post as they penned their thoughts over Huntr/x's surprise cameo. Below are some of their remarks:

"Bad bunny dressed like the sexiest librarian ever fanboying out over kpop demon hunters maybe the hottest thing ever.", hyped a fan.
"Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami performed their hit song "Golden" during Bad Bunny's "KPop Demon Hunters" sketch on SNL", penned another.
"Jimmy Fallon must be livid right now since they were supposed to have the first live performance on his show in a couple days", shared a third.

Others also chimed in:

"This clip lets me know that the possibility of Bad Bunny bringing HUNTR/X out during the Superbowl is low but not zero", commented a netizen.
"Nooo! I hate everything related to Benito Martinez (Never gonna use his "artistic name", I want to keep my algorithm clean thank you very much) and know I am forced to see Huntr/x near him! Damn! I'm gonna erase this from my brain!!", opined another.
"They are amazing but this sketch is so badly written. Whoever wrote it should be fired immediately", declared a third.

Huntr/x are the fictional heroines of KPop Demon Hunters. The Netflix and Sony Animation production follows three young women who are K-pop idols and secret demon fighters. Their music is their weapon.

Three real-life artists voice the animated characters. EJAE, a songwriter and singer, voices Rumi. Audrey Nuna, an R&B and alt-pop artist, voices Mira. Rei Ami, a hip-hop and pop artist, voices Zoey.
